Tomblin to Speak at Marcellus Drilling Conference

Governor Tomblin will be speaking at two separate conferences hosted by the West Virginia Manufacturers Association. The conferences will discuss Marcellus drilling and related concerns such as training, environmental concerns, taxes, infrastructure and investments. The WVMA hopes to offer an opportunity for business and industry leaders to learn more about the Marcellus shale drilling process as a whole.

Other speakers will include Commerce Secretary Keith Burdette and WVU Athletic Director Oliver Luck. Other officials from WV and four other states will discuss how to maximize economic opportunities from Marcellus drilling.

The conferences are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday this week at the Charleston Civic Center.

Another Marcellus conference is scheduled for April 1-3 at The Greenbrier resort.
